Former Olympic swimmer Angus Waddell joins our coaching team!

Angus-Waddell

We are very excited to welcome Olympic swimmer Angus Waddell to our coaching team. Angus has just a little sporting pedigree and holds a special place in Australian sporting history.

Not only did Angus represent Australia as a high jumper at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, he also swam at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland making him the only athlete in history to go to Commonwealth Games in two different sports.  Angus won silver in the 50m freestyle at the 1990 Commonwealth games in Auckland and went on to represent Australia in the same event at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

Angus currently works as a motivational speaker focussing on simple strategies to help people achieve their “personal best” in their chosen endeavours.

Angus will help provide some additional expertise at all levels of the program – to assist us in producing not only technically competent swimmers but kids and adults who have a genuine love of fitness in an aquatic environment.

We're delighted to welcome Angus to the pool deck!
