The Swim Academy is now at Mt Gravatt East too!

You may have heard that The Swim Academy has joined forces with Sam Riley Swim Schools to staff and deliver the Dolphin 2 and squad programs at the Mt Gravatt East pool.  We are delighted to have this opportunity to build upon the great work done at the Sam Riley Swim School. 

Purpose built in conjunction with the Brisbane City Council, the facility boasts a six lane 25 m pool, which heated year round plus an indoor learn to swim pool.  The centre is situated within the grounds of the Mt Gravatt East State School at the intersection of Newham and Wecker Roads Mt Gravatt.

Reece Taylor joins The Swim Academy coaching team!

We are delighted to welcome Reece Taylor to The Swim Academy coaching team.

A national level swimmer and keen triathlete in his Scottish homeland, Reece is a career swim coach who brings a wealth of experience to our program. Reece is well experienced in all levels of coaching, including learn to swim and stroke development.  His practical expertise is backed up with a Bachelor of Science with honours in Applied Sport and Exercise Science (Sports Coaching).

Reece will be involved in all levels of our program with a particular emphasis on technique and performance for the Swift triathlete squad as well as nurturing and growing our junior development squad.

Reece comes to us from the West Brisbane Aquatic Club where he was assistant coach under Adam Hosking, one of the rising stars in the coaching world.

Reece is looking forward to meeting you over the next few weeks.

Congratulations to our 80 strong Stuartholme swim team on yet another win at the CaSSSA Swimming Carnival - we are so so proud of you!  All your hard work and determination paid off - you were the best team you could be!
